New Kirby EP: Into the Dark

Local singer/songwriter Kirby has unleashed a new EP, Into the Dark and it's a great, folk-pop recording with catchy hooks and emotional vocals. On top of that, Kirby's wonderful lyrics are mixed in with a modern, artistic, musical flair.

He's aided by a number of talented musicians such as Mike Scime, Ken Thor Corke, Max Wray, Graham Peaceful and more.

Not only is this an incredible EP but Kirby is also offering it as a free download for the fall of 2011. You better get it before it's too late!

Below are live videos of songs from the EP.

New Max Wray Live EP

Late last year, Hamilton singer/songwriter Max Wray released his latest EP: Max Wray Live.

The 6-song collection showcases Max's wonderful acoustic guitar work and his unique, amazing voice. He creates wonderful emotional, sometimes catchy, pop songs that still have their roots in the classic singer/songwriter sound. It's an incredible blend of the modern and the traditional.

The CD is available at his shows and as downloads on iTunes and CDbaby.

Performer of the Week: Max Wray

Hamilton singer/songwriter, Max Wray is an incredible performer who can add many modern elements to his folky music but still has one foot firmly planted in traditional sounds. His amazing voice, guitar work, and wonderful lyrics create a unique musical experience.

He studied as a jazz drummer at Mohawk College. After graduating, Max performed with numerous bands to gain experience and then began writing his own songs. His tunes are now front and centre at his great solo shows (which can also include cool cover tunes as well).

Max also follows more pop/rock path with his band, Follow the Fleet.
